Manchester Town Hall Wedding Pictures – Surinder & Graham’s big day
Manchester Town Hall Wedding Pictures and Stock restaurant wedding reception – Surinder & Graham’s gorgeous Manchester City Centre wedding.
Here’s a sneak preview picture from the wedding ceremony:
Another ace day today! After my rather late finish at my wedding yesterday, I was spoiled with a lay in today!I met Surinder at home at 11:00 am, she was getting hair and make-up done so I got loads of documentary style shots of that. The flowers were in some cute mugs, so I took them in to the garden and shot them with the mugs lined up… the flowers were such a gorgeous bright colourful mix. I got quite a few close-up detail shots which would look great as an abstract canvas or for the background in a wedding album.
After shooting details, dresses and shoes, I got a quick picture of Surinder with her brother who was giving her away and the four bridesmaids in front of the wedding car before I dashed off for Manchester Town Hall.
I love working at Manchester Town Hall. It’s an amazing venue for a wedding. It’s architecturally stunning and the huge windows and atrium over the area outside the Great Hall make for gorgeous Manchester Town Hall Wedding Pictures. Graham was scheduled to arrive at the Town Hall at 13:15, and I was only just leaving the bridal preparations then so I’d hired Hannah Dornford-May as a second shooter. Her work is gorgeous (check out her website here), and she’s also lovely, so Hannah got pictures of the groom and grooms men and documentary wedding coverage of guests arriving whilst I made my way in to the City Centre. Surinder arrived quite early, so chauffeur Bo (of Horgans Cars) took her for a drive for 10 min or so whilst all the guests made their way to the ceremony room.
After the ceremony, I got some candid Manchester Town Hall Wedding Pictures of the couple mingling with their guests, followed by a few group shots, then some portraits of the couple. I could seriously spend all day shooting portraits at Manchester Town Hall, but sadly we only had about 10 minutes or so, so we got loads of portraits and headed to Stock restaurant where the couple were having their wedding reception. This was my first time shooting a wedding at Stock. It’s truly stunning inside. The building used to be Manchester’s Stock exchange so both exterior and interior feature the splendour typical of Edwardian architecture.
And finally, a gallery selection from the first part of the day at Manchester Town Hall:
